Meet the 2026 AI For Good Fellows

Lora Yousufziy
Lora is in her final year of a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) at the University of Technology Sydney. She has recently completed an internship at the Migration Justice Institute and currently volunteers with the Refugee Advice and Casework Services (RACS) and the Refugee English Language Tutoring (RELT) program. Lora is currently working as a paralegal in a boutique law firm and is keen to apply her legal experience to support meaningful policy reform.
She is particularly interested in advancing AI-supported language access and digital inclusion for refugee and migrant women in Australia within healthcare and legal services.

Ava Rawlings
Ava Rawlings is a penultimate-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (Journalism Major) at Curtin University. She currently works as a Researcher at Business News and a Law Clerk at Dan Morris Legal, in Perth, Western Australia. Growing up in small regional town, Ava’s experience within the isolated community deepened her understanding of culture and shaped her interest in human centred policy. Ava’s policy is focused on the regulation of artificial intelligence (AI) in relation to the journalism industry

Eve Carlin
Eve Carlin is in the penultimate year of a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Advanced Studies in International and Global Studies at the University of Sydney. Drawing on experience across community radio, adult English education, and the technology sector, she brings an interdisciplinary perspective to digital governance and public policy. Her policy interests centre on inclusive AI, particularly how multilingual and language-accessible technologies can be embedded in public services to better serve culturally and linguistically diverse communities in Australia.

Sahana Ganjigunte
Sahana Ganjigunte is completing a Bachelor of Commerce (Financial Technology) and Information Systems at the University of New South Wales and works as a debating and public speaking coach for students across primary and secondary schools. Through her studies and close work with young people, she has seen how rapidly artificial intelligence is shaping learning, wellbeing, and emotional development. These experiences have driven her interest in the social and ethical impacts of AI, particularly the risks posed to children. She is committed to advancing youth-informed, human-centred approaches to AI governance that prioritise child safety and mental health.
What is the AI For Good Summit?

The AI for Good Summit is an annual international event organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in partnership with UN agencies, governments, and the private sector. Launched in 2017, its mission is to explore how artificial intelligence can be used to address global challenges and advance the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The summit brings together experts from various fields to collaborate on AI-driven solutions in areas such as healthcare, education, climate action, and crisis response. It also addresses the ethical and governance aspects of AI, promoting responsible development and ensuring that these technologies benefit all, particularly marginalized communities. Through fostering innovation and partnerships, the summit aims to leverage AI for a more equitable and sustainable future.
